About Me
I am a UX designer who recently graduated from Loyola University New Orleans. I am also an artist who loves bringing unique skills to my Interactive projects.
As a designer I love to use my art to give a voice to social issues and I strive to spread awareness through my work. It is also important that I always keep inclusivity and creativity in mind when I am creating.
Me as an Artist
I am an artist because I love art, but also because of the amazing people around me who support my creativity. Both my mom and my grandmother are creatives, my mom was always crafting and my grandmother made beautiful paintings and drawings. I still have memories of my grandmother showing me different watercolor techniques. I am lucky that my grandmother is still a large part of my life and one of my biggest supporters. I place such an emphasis on my art because, without my deep love of creating, I don't think I would be as good of a designer as I am today. I also think creativity is so deeply embedded into every step of the UX design process. A lot of my creativity comes from a desire to make something beautiful.
Loyola's Interactive Program
My primary focus in UX design has been interactive exhibits, but I have experience with most UI because of my professors and our UX program. UX Rapid Prototyping introduced us to all user interfaces as well as the rapid prototyping process. Interactive Design 1, 2, and 3 had us explore every aspect of Figma and perfect the steps of the UX design process. Agile Development Familiarized us with the Agile Development process and put the students in charge of their project from start to finish. UX Design Practicum had us prepare an app to be sent to a developer, familiarizing us with both this process and what it is like to work in a company. I also had the opportunity to take Game Design where I was able to learn both how to make games and how to write stories.
